Italian Scientist Rita Levi Montalcini looks on during a meeting with media in Rome, in occasion of the celebrations of her 100 birthday. Born on april 22 1909 in Turin, in 1986 Levi-Montalcini and collaborator Stanley Cohen received the Nobel Prize in Medicine for “for their discoveries of growth factors”
